ASAP Pizza

A new pizza brand from the team behind the Michelin-starred Lyle’s and Borough Market wine bar and bakery Flor, ASAP Pizza is predictably high-end stuff, with posh pies such as a Hawaiian with pickled scotch bonnet, grilled pineapple and cured pig’s cheek, and the allium-inating ‘On and On’ with green onions, new season garlic, wild garlic and wild marjoram. There are also desserts like tiramisu and ice cream sandwiches from east London’s Happy Endings.  

ASAP Pizza will operate from the Flor kitchen in Borough Market via Click & Collect and Deliveroo, with a delivery radius including London Bridge, Southwark, Elephant & Castle, and Kennington. Outside this area, ASAP Pizza kits are promised.

Peckham’s pasta dons are manfully ploughing onwards through you know what, offering home delivery as they put it ‘between the South Circular and the river’. It’s currently available Thursday to Sunday, but they promise a five-day-a-week service soon. Stick that ‘use by Dec 2017’ value spaghetti back where you found it, and order some decent carbs. Berenjak
Berenjak

Berenjak is restarting service with a load of new sites across London. It’s a smart move for London’s prince of Persia. It will be delivering its signature koobideh and jujeh kababs, and a selection of mazeh including its mast o khiar and kashk e bademjoom.

Peckham’s smoky small-plates joint in the former ticket office of Peckham Rye station is still knocking out ace Sunday roasts for delivery within a three-mile radius. There’s a choice of 40-day aged belted Galloway rumps (£44), whole Cotswold chicken for two (£35) and Welsh lamb saddle for two (£39) - all served with beef dripping potatoes, carrots, January King cabbage, leeks and yorkshire pudding.

‘MasterChef’ winner Tim Anderson’s Brixton Japanese ‘soul food’ restaurant has been forced to shut (which is a real shame, considering how much anticipation there was about it opening, back in the day). HOWEVER (as Gregg Wallace says in every sentence), it’s still dishing out and delivering via Deliveroo. Plus, it’s launched Little Nanban, a kind of lockdown essentials range, based on rice bowls (also on Deliveroo). Quaintly, you can also order over the phone, like in history. The Elephant & Castle pizza merchant is back open for business (takeaway and collection, anyway). This southside offshoot of the popular Finsbury Park original is doing its classic pies and other antipasti-type stuff.

Riding House’s online shop is stocked with restaurant-quality DIY dishes such as chicken, morel and truffle pie, Cornish lamb with spinach, and bake-at-home cookie dough. There are brunch dishes such as pancakes with clotted chantilly cream, topped with berry compote, and even a full english breakfast with Bloody Mary and Buck’s Fizz cocktails. 

There’s also a ready-to-drink cocktail offer, including Masako Martini with sake and lychee, and Planas Horchata with rum, almond, cinnamon and nutmeg, plus mini-kegs and punch pouches.

The (relatively) new Deptford Broadway restaurant is doing a Tuesday-Sunday takeaway of a daily main. There are veggie options available Tuesday and Thursdays and a Sunday roast. The week’s menu is available on Tila’s Facebook page.

Yatai

Yatai (‘shop stand’ in Japanese) is a new food delivery service created by Angelo Sato (Omoide). Previously operating in the West End’s market halls, it delivers traditional Japanese dishes, with a menu that features classic sushi bowls, donburis, katsu curries and Sato’s legendary sandos.
