The bar at Boscolo’s pasticceria is always packed; locals flock to enjoy an extra-strong spritz al bitter with one of the homemade pizzette (small pizza). There is also an excellent assortment of Venetian sweets: frittelle (fried dough balls) during Carnevale, as well as zaleti (polenta biscuits) and pincia (Veneto bread pudding, made with cornflour and raisins). Boscolo’s range of chocolates in the form of interesting (and graphic) Kama Sutra positions has made this confectioner famous.
