With its wooden decor and happy drinkers in the calle outside, this rustic osteria is every inch the traditional Venetian bacaro. Alongside a big barrel of wine, the bar is loaded down with a selection of cicheti, from meatballs and stuffed squid to nervetti (Milanese salad) stewed with onions.
In a second room, simple pasta dishes and soups and secondi, such as fegato alla veneziana (liver), are served up for early lunch and dinner. A glass and a plateful of cicheti at the bar should cost around €10-€15, sitting down more than double that.
