This delightful hotel, which has its own little bridge on a quiet canal near campo San Stae, has expanded recently into two nearby structures, taking the number of rooms and suites to 29. It remains, however, one of Venice’s best-value accommodation options. It has tastefully decorated mod-Venetian rooms—some in a luscious shade of deep red, others in rich gold—and well-appointed bathrooms, not to mention Wi-Fi access throughout, a bar, a Turkish bath, a pretty courtyard garden and genuinely charming owners (Walter and Sandro) who manage to be warm and laid-back in just the right ratio. This hotel is at the less expensive end of Venice's moderate price range, becoming remarkably budget in low season.
