This stylish 8th floor bar at the Hilton Molino Stucky Hotel on Giudecca is open to non-hotel guests, and that’s a beautiful thing. Try to arrive before sunset—watching the sun go down behind Venice and watching the city come aglow after is quite possibly one of the most romantic things to do in the city. Drinks here are pricey but inventive and tasty—think smoked whisky concoctions, or beverages flavored with rosemary, thyme or cinnamon. There’s plenty of wine and traditional mixed drinks on the 48-page menu, but the real fun is in trying one of the bespoke cocktails. Note that food choices are limited here.
Time Out tip: The Hilton offers a shuttle boat, or navetta, from the San Marco and Zattere vaporetto basins, open (and free) to non-guests so long as they are going to one of the hotel bars or restaurants. Avoid peak times
