Time Out says

Occupying a piece of prime real estate directly across the water from the Doge’s Palace, this most elegant of churches was designed by the great Renaissance architect Palladio. There are artworks to admire, by Tintoretto et al, but San Giorgio’s biggest draw is its belltower, with spectacular views over Venice and far beyond. There are several good works of art, and the view from the top of the tower is extraordinary: the best possible panorama across Venice itself and the lagoon.
