In this new set, João allows himself to be honest about his view of the world, whether the theme is racism, sex, hypocrisy, money, or above all, Maddie’s whereabouts, free from shame and with the desire to say everything that’s on his mind. Connecting with the truth, no matter how embarrassing it may be to talk about, is when João feels he can create his funniest material. Being honest about the social context, his thoughts, his actions, and what he truly wants for the future. João invites you all to come along, ready to laugh. After releasing several 10-15 minute stand-up sets on YouTube, João feels it’s time to take on something more challenging. The goal is to record his first Special, a significant step in a stand-up comedian’s career. This is a comedy show. No one ever writes that in synopses.
