Instead of the usual stands, the afternoon tea set ($135.70 for two) from Sofitel Singapore City Centre comes served in an artful gold box instead. Made in collaboration with The Art Faculty, a social enterprise by the Autism Resource Centre of Singapore, young artist Selena Seow has created a vibrant packaging that depicts the colourful shophouses of Tanjong Pagar. After admiring the packaging (you’ll get to keep it too!), peel open the exterior to find two layers of delectable goodies: Portuguese egg tart, pandan coconut scones sweetened with gula Melaka, durian choux pastry, sambal salmon roll, chilli crab mayonnaise sandwiches, and more.
