December 1 to 31

Christmas at Hilton Singapore Orchard is reimagined as a festive train journey that takes you around the hotel’s three iconic restaurants – Estate, Ginger.Lily, and Osteria Mozza. Start the evening at level five to check out the Hilton Festive Express train station pop-up, before you make your way to dinner. The hotel’s buffet restaurant Estate is hosting a luxurious Christmas Eve dinner on December 24 ($198 per person), with everything from a cold seafood bar stocked with Alaskan snow crabs and Boston lobsters, to holiday-exclusive items like roast turkey, honey-glazed ham, log cakes, and pumpkin panettone.

Alternatively, head to the Californian-Italian Osteria Mozza for a pizza-and-pasta kinda Christmas affair. The Christmas Eve dinner ($148 per person) features the restaurant’s signature house-made pasta like the linguine with clams, as well as maple-glazed Ibérico Secreto. Round off the evening with festive cocktails at Ginger.Lily. Try the Honeymoon – a Piña Colada and eggnog mix; or the Bittersweet – a crossover between mulled wine and a negroni.

The iconic Grand Hyatt Singapore has gotten a facelift recently, and after a grand reopening this July, it’s now inviting guests to ‘Come Home for Christmas’. In true homecoming fashion, the familiar Pete’s Place and StraitsKitchen will be welcoming diners back for a series of festive meals, including a Christmas Eve dinner buffet. At Pete’s, an Italian feast (from $128 per person) awaits with a dedicated prime rib roast live station, a dizzying array of traditional Italian desserts, and hearty seafood stews. Tropics will be serving up baked rock oysters, BBQ turkey rolls and lobster thermidor from December 2 to 25 in a breezy alfresco setting. Whether it’s an intimate Christmas for two ($428) or a merry gathering for four ($828), this American steakhouse’s indulgent festive set menu promises a memorable dining experience. Begin with a rich lobster bisque or the comforting soup of the day, setting the tone for the main event: a choice of premium entrées like USDA Prime 28-day dry-aged ribeye steak, USDA Prime filet mignon, grilled king salmon, or succulent lamb chops. Complement it with a side of mac and cheese, fried onion rings, sautéed mushrooms, or creamy spinach. Conclude on a sweet note with Wolfgang’s signature chocolate yule log. December 23 to 25 and December 31

Summer Hill should be on your radar if a wholesome Christmas gathering in a comfortable setting is what you’re after. The charming bistro is modelled after a rustic French courtyard, and hearty French fare comes served with mismatched plates and cutlery for a truly homely feel. The Christmas festive trolley ($129 per person) is what you’re here for – it’s a special version of Summer Hill’s weekend brunch trolley concept inspired by roving dim sum trolleys. For the season, it’s availing the festive trolley for dinners on selected dates. Graze on snacks like the crab and smoked salmon tart and pork and chicken liver pâté. Partake in the unique tradition of faire chabrot, where wine is poured into your remaining bowl of lentil stew to savour every last drop. And of course, there will also be Christmas highlights like baked ham, Bûche de Noël (chocolate stout cake), and more.

Not available on the festive trolley dates? Drop by for an early Christmas dinner to savour Summer Hill’s signatures that are ideal for sharing. The classic roast chicken ($62) is brined for 24 hours then herb-butter roasted such that even the breast turns out fork-tender and succulent. There’s also the Kurobuta pork belly porchetta ($231) which is perfectly executed to achieve a divine crackling with a juicy middle.

If the hunky meat platters are what you look forward to at every Christmas table, then go for the best at Meadesmoore. The modern steakhouse along Boon Tat Street will be slinging out two festive platters this Christmas. In one, a slab of Sanchoku wagyu tomahawk ($320) – good for two to four people – takes centre stage. The steak is charcoal-grilled and then served with winter truffles, mushroom fricasée, and sage. For something more aligned with Christmas, go for the herb-crusted turkey en crépinette ($150). Turkey breast is stuffed with tender Kurobuta pork chunks and chestnuts, then adorned with shaved winter truffle slices for a luxurious touch.

Get an array of sides for sharing. We like the chilli-crusted bone marrow accompanied by toasty parmesan-crusted sourdough ($24), as well as Meadesmoore’s signature four-cheese mac n cheese ($22). End the meal with the strawberry and champagne Eton Mess ($18), where boozy champagne custard, wine jelly, strawberry coulis and fresh strawberries come together for the perfect spoonful.

December 1 to January 1

If a Christmas dinner with craft beer, good music, and pets sounds swell to you, we reckon Little Island Brewing Co (LIBC) checks off all the boxes. In particular, its newest Gillman Barracks outlet stands out – it’s located in a quieter area away from the buzz in town, plus it’s Singapore’s first vintage vinyl bar, flexing state-of-the-art sound systems and cool records. A tight but solid Christmas menu has you sorted. Share the ham Wellington ($65), good for two. Black forest ham and minced porcini mushrooms are encased in buttery puff pastry and served with roasted potatoes and cranberry sauce. There’s also the hefty Argentine ribeye roast with sides of roasted herb pumpkin, gravy, and cranberry sauce ($42). Up to try something a little more unique? The Christmas rum balls ($15 for five pieces) see cookie butter cake coated with chocolate and spiced rum for a boozy festive treat.

And no visit to LIBC is complete without a pint. Try an exclusive festive brew crafted with seasonal hops and ingredients inspired by Christmas. The best part is that for every Christmas menu item ordered, you’ll get to enjoy a one-for-one deal on all craft beers and house wines.

Raffles Hotel Singapore never misses the mark with its Christmas decorations. Each year, the grand colonial building is decked out with gorgeous wreaths and bathed in a warm, golden, glow during the evenings. If the Orchard Road madness is not quite your jam, head down here for an equally magical time. Savour woodfire specials at Chef Jordan Keao’s renowned Butcher’s Block. The restaurant is putting out its festive IMUA dinner ($258 per person) this season, with creative dishes like dry-aged Kalua pork and taro leaf, grilled sweet potato gnocchi, a wagyu beef trio and more. Everything here demonstrates Keao’s whole-animal butchery and zero-waste philosophy.

For something different, tuck into a luxurious Chinese feast with the likes of caramelised Ibérico char siew, eight-hour stewed abalone broth, and crab legs at Yi by Jereme Leung ($188 per person). Or indulge in North Indian flavours at Tiffin Room ($108 per person), where a festive version of the signature Mera Dabba dining experience – a four-tier copper box featuring house specials – is served. End your evening with Christmassy tipples from Raffles Courtyard, Writers Bar, or the historic Long Bar.
