The private life of three-time Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi wasn’t exactly low-key. The billionaire’s infamous ‘bunga bunga’ sex parties might ring a bell (think high-profile guests, orgies, and skinny dipping).  The hedonism-fuelled evenings, which eventually attracted the attention of the Italian justice department, were held at Berlusconi’s luxurious Villa San Martino just outside Milan. And now it looks as though the public might actually have a chance to snoop around the glitzy mansion where it all took place. The news comes following the release of Berlusconi’s will. The politican died last month at 86, leaving his family to decide the future of his private villa – with plans to turn it into a museum reportedly being discussed.  So, what exactly can you expect from a visit to Villa San Martino? Well, the mansion is exactly as showy as you’d expect. The 70 rooms are filled with priceless artworks by the likes of Rembrandt, as well as – of course – hundreds of portraits of the media mogul Berlusconi himself. Naturally, he also had a marble mausoleum built in his back garden, which now houses the former PM’s ashes. There’s also an enormous library stocked with biographies of world leaders including Margaret Thatcher and a collection of gifts from political pals such as Muammar Gadaffi.  As it stands, plans to transform the mansion are very much still speculative – keep an eye on this page for further updates.
