Beer-drinking in SoFlo is getting more interesting by the minute thanks to the efforts of local craft beermakers setting up shop across the bottom of the state. Here we salute their efforts. Funky Buddha Brewery Funky Buddha opened June 2013, and is a special place for locals with a wide variety of tastes in beer. From their popular Hop Gun IPA to their seasonal brews, which are usually sweet in taste—like their Blueberry Cobbler Ale—this brewery has you covered. If you’re looking for hops, the Hop Gun IPA delivers just that straight to your pallet, bursting with grapefruit flavors and slight caramel finish. (1201 NE 38th St, Oakland Park, FL; funkybuddhabrewery.com) Due South Brewing Co., Boynton Beach Since opening in May 2012, Due South has been a prime destination for craft beer enthusiasts. It's a multi-award-winning brewery with highlights like their Mariana Trench Imperial Stout, Asylum Harbor Red Ale, Category 5 Double IPA, Cafe Ole Espresso Porter and Bourbon Barrel Aged Pico Duarte (just to name a few). When you enter Wynwood Brewing you automatically have a sense of relaxation with their dim lights and laid-back feel. The beers that they specialize in are mainly hop-inspired,
