I’ve lived in Copenhagen for the past seven years and I’m still finding new things to do. It’s a small city, one you can comfortably bike across in under half an hour, but within its winding cobbled streets and hip, developing areas, there’s always a new cocktail bar, coffee shop or flea market to discover.
Is three days in Copenhagen enough?
Copenhagen isn’t a huge place, and you could certainly come and cover all the main hits in a long weekend, especially if you rent a bike. But the place of life is gentle here – if you stay a little longer (up to a week), you’ll uncover neighbourhood favourites, designer bakeries, communal dining events where you can eat with the locals, and more of the citys secrets. If you leave feeling that maybe the pace of your own life should be a bit slower too, then our job is done. Here are the best things to do in Copenhagen. –Laura Hall

Get ready for stunning pastries, craft beer, street food and a cracking nightlife scene in Copenhagen, but make sure to set aside some time for its array of fabulous museums.
There’s a lot of them, and they cover a lot of ground, but they do so with confidence and credibility, from the celebrated genius of the Louisiana to the Degas bronzes of Ny Carlsberg Gylptotek. From art and design to the National Museum, here are the best of Copenhagen’s museums right now.

Copenhagen is the prime destination for a trendy, foodie weekend away. The kind of place that makes you want to rent a little bike for the day with a bag full of fresh pastries, and hopefully end up being the subject of someone’s Instagram shot. It’s a beautifully aesthetic, dainty place with great vibes, but don’t be fooled – Copenhagen has a very fun, very late-night side too.
That’s right. This city is aesthetically pleasing by day, and wild by night. Dipping a toe into Copenhagen’s nightlife scene will have you dancing to live music in an old-school jazz bar and ordering shots at a three-story nightclub. It’s got everything from niche indie spots to classic mainstream spots, and everything in between (including a community centre with DJs). Whatever you’re into, here are the best nightlife spots in Copenhagen right now.
