Stay across the Hudson at the W Hoboken, and you may have no reason to ever leave the NJ border (hear us out!). This urban oasis has everything: beautiful views, spacious balcony rooms, Bliss Spa, and if you’re traveling with your four-legged pal, he/she will be greeted with a custom bed and turndown treats too! If you do begin your day in the city, this will be a nice escape to peace and quiet, with just a six-minute walk to the Path station (or just Uber it!). It’s a no brainer, if you’re considering staying at their Times Square or Union Square locations… change gears, and come to Hoboken. As soon as you enter the lobby you can’t help but notice the wall-to-wall magnetizing mural of the NYC Skyline (by British artist, Anne Carrington). It’s actually a giant magnet holding in place thousands of metallic objects including NY subway tokens and ship building nails (reminiscent of the old docklands and waterfront industries of Hoboken). There’s also a lovely floral aroma in the air, making you feel refreshed and ready to leave the subway smells portion of your day behind, kick off your heels, and grab a drink at their Living Room bar. During our stay there was a wedding party (after-party) wrapping up, with a few other business-professionals unwinding. On your way up, you’ll be wished a Good Evening by the floormat in the elevator – a small detail that the hotel swaps out every morning.
