Turn Up Summer at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort

From now until September 1, experience a series of new and exciting summer events at Hong Kong Disneyland – from a Water Play Street Party featuring your favourite Pixar characters to an exclusive adventure show with Mickey, Goofy, Rapunzel, and Russell from Up, as well as Anna’s birthday celebration at the kingdom of Arendelle. Be sure to also check out their magical lineup of summer flavours and delicacies at the restaurants, along with limited-edition merchandise perfect for the scorching heat, such as themed beachwear costumes, portable electric fans, and flip-flops.  And why stop there? Book a stay at the resort and enjoy an array of activities beyond the park, including the Summer Splash Poolside Party, Moana Poolside Leisure Times, and Ariel’s Royal Poolside Court. HK Ballet Oz Life Journey at Airside

To celebrate its 45th anniversary, Hong Kong Ballet is collaborating with Arts Tech to bring the iconic yellow brick road to the city. Designed by Eddy Wong, winner of the Golden Horse Film Awards and Hong Kong Film Awards, the HK Ballet Oz Life Journey at Airside transforms the magical story into an interactive journey, redefining what it means for you to be part of a performance. The exhibition is running from now until September 4 at the Gate33 Gallery in Airside, where visitors can experience the classic tale in a new and immersive way, complete with VR activities, neon art installations, and an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the stage production for HK Ballet’s Asian premiere of The Wizard of Oz, which will be showing from August 30 to September 1.

To celebrate the launch of their new Foamies sandal series, Skechers is hosting a time-limited waterpark this summer! Covering an area of 60,000sq ft, it features a giant inflatable swimming pool decked out in slides, floating beds, a jumping castle, and a wave pool, where you can participate in a variety of events and competitions like bubble battles and skimboard challenges. And after you’ve worked up an appetite, freshen up with snacks that range from ice cream to herbal coffee and handmade teas. Complete with changing rooms and parking, this waterpark is the perfect location for your next family outing.  There is also a pop-up store on site, so make sure you grab a pair of Foamies for 20 percent off per pair. A favourite amongst K-pop idols and celebrities like Cha Eunwoo and Jisoo from Blackpink, the store features the brand’s latest line of apparel and accessories, ranging from their popular caps and bags to clothing items and even swimwear. Chinese Kungfu x Dance Carnival

The Chinese Kungfu x Dance Carnival is here to kick some butts this July. Celebrating the brilliance of traditional Chinese culture, the festival combines martial arts and Chinese dance to offer more than 60 shows and activities for the public from July 9 to 14.  There will be numerous special events to look out for, including shows led by Kungfu masters from all over the world, performances featuring dance and martial arts styles from different regions of China, catwalks showcasing exquisite traditional Chinese attire, poetic literature citations, interactive activities for the kids, as well as film screenings of classic Kungfu movies. There will also be an 80-metre-long ‘Kungfu Street’ by Tsim Sha Tsui’s Clock Tower by the harbourfront featuring exhibits of Hong Kong wuxia film posters since the 1960s, followed by stories about Hong Kong martial arts and their heritage.  Through these beautiful and diverse representations of the art forms, the festival offers a precious opportunity to learn more about traditional Chinese culture in fun, inspiring, and enriching ways
