Michelin Guide 2025: surprises, joys and disappointments of the second edition
The long wait has come to an end. On a cool night in Mendoza, warmed by toasts in the garden of Susana Balbo winery in Luján de Cuyo, the 2025 Michelin Guide was announced, honoring the best restaurants in the Buenos Aires and Mendoza culinary scene. Time Out Buenos Aires was present to bring you all the details of this unique moment for Argentine gastronomy. First, the most important news: there are three new stars. Two went to restaurants in Mendoza—Riccitelli Bistró and Angélica—and one stayed in Buenos Aires at Crizia, the more-than-20-year-old restaurant by chef Gabriel Oggero.
Which Restaurants Earned Michelin Stars
All restaurants that had earned a star in the previous edition (Don Julio, Trescha, Azafrán, Zonda, Brindillas and Casa Vigil) kept their star, as did Aramburu with its two stars. In the final count, the inspectors of the prestigious guide still slightly favor the wine-producing province, which now has six stars in this edition compared to Buenos Aires' five.

"We are happy. We worked a lot better. We are pleased to maintain the surprise, and this surprise came. We are a small restaurant, in the kitchen, we are four. Pure effort, pure blood," said Juan Ventureyra, who won a star for Riccitelli Bistró, located inside the Riccitelli winery in Las Compuertas.
