Move over Friends and Harry Potter, because it’s the cast of Love Actually’s turn to have an emotional reunion next week.

Yes, everyone’s favourite festive romcom (or cinematic hate crime – delete as applicable) is subject to one of those starry get-togethers almost guaranteed to stop social media in its tracks when it airs on US TV on Tuesday, November 29.

The reunion is hosted by ABC’s Diane Sawyer and goes by the less-than-pithy title: The Laughter & Secrets of Love Actually: 20 Years Later – A Diane Sawyer Special. Try fitting all that onto one of your cue cards, Mark.

So who will be there? Richard Curtis (obvs), Emma Thompson, Bill Nighy, Laura Linney, Olivia Olson, Hugh Grant and Thomas Brodie-Sangster. Check out the trailer here.

Expect some heartwarming recollections of the shoot, to shed a tear or two at Alan Rickman’s absence, and to coo at what a nice-looking young man that Thomas Brodie-Sangster has turned into.

‘Come to laugh, come to feel loved,’ runs the trailer’s voiceover. Big promises, but for Love Actually fans, there’s every chance it will deliver.

For Love Actually haters, it might be worth lying low until all this blows over.

The Laughter & Secrets of Love Actually: 20 Years Later airs on ABC in the US at 8pm Eastern Time on November 29. No word on a UK or Australian air date for it yet, but it surely won’t be long.

Where to find the mews house from that scene in Love Actually.

Love Actually is a terrible movie, and I will love it until I die
