Did you spend your childhood – or adulthood, we won’t judge – dreaming about living in the Hundred Acre Wood? Well, this ‘Bearbnb’ (ahem!) is now available to stay in – and it’s fit for Winnie and friends.
Created by Winnie the Pooh illustrator Kim Raymond, the adorable cottage features everything you’d expect from the home of our favourite yellow bear: it’s kitted out with honey pots, quaint patterned wallpaper and, best of all, an outdoor picnic table designed for elevenses.
With branches wrapped around the walls and a charming bright red door, the treehouse is straight out of the storybooks. Plus, it’s right in the middle of n Ashdown Forest, in the UK’s East Sussex, known as the real Hundred Acre Woods.
The house has been designed to celebrate 95 years of Pooh, Eeyore, Roo and co, and we can’t wait to get snuggled up in its double bed and stay the night. There are even yoga mats, journals and throws so you can fully relax – just don’t tell Tigger.
Of the cottage, Kim Raymond said: ‘I have been illustrating Winnie the Pooh for 30 years and I continue to be inspired by the classic decorations of E.H. Shepard and the more recent Disney stories. The “Bearbnb” is a unique experience that brings the charm of Pooh to life for fans, whilst honouring the original adventures that have been so important to many people for 95 years.’ Sounds delightful to us.
There’s room for four, so grab your most cottagecore-y friends and book via Airbnb. You’ll have to be quick, though – booking opens at 2pm on Monday 20 September and it’ll likely sell out quickly.
