Here’s something you don’t see every day: an Airbnb that comes with its very own waterfall. That’s right: a few minutes’ walk from this rental in Brazil is a stream and natural swimming pool, as well as a private waterfall – all surrounded by monkeys and butterflies. Pretty cool, right?

In Brazil’s Atlantic Forest, the place is called Casa Arca – and its appeal doesn’t stop at its private falls. In Airbnb’s ‘plus’ range, Arca is also a spectacular design-focused rental intended to merge with the surrounding forest landscape. It’s a short drive from the town of Paraty, which sits on the coast between Brazil’s big population centres São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.

Arca has space for up to six people (the recommendation is for four adults and two kids) with a huge dining and kitchen area, its own gym and a marvellous patio boasting views of the surrounding forest. Here are a few more pics of the place.

If you think all this looks a bit expensive, well, it’s actually cheaper than you’d expect. The cost of staying at Casa Arca starts about £126 ($154) per night, with a two-night minimum stay. Once divvyed-up per person, that’s just over £20 ($24) per person, per night – which isn’t too spenny at all, really.

If you fancy finding out more about Casa Arca or booking a stay, you can do so on its official Airbnb listing here.
