Capturing nature’s wildest scenes through a lens is no walk in the park, and that’s what makes the shots of leaping stoats and bobbing seals in the Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition so downright impressive.
We covered the people’s choice awards back in February, when a gorgeous photo of a polar bear perched on an iceberg stole the show, as well as the winners for 2023, but another batch of stunning images have just been released.
Wildlife Photographer of the Year is developed and produced by the Natural History Museum in London. The winners of 2024’s judged competition will be officially announced in October, but these newly-published pics were all ‘highly commended’ in their categories. It looks like we’re in for another year of outstanding work – here are some of the snaps that have been published so far.
