Remember last year when we reported on that jaw-droppingly expensive, bougie AF luxury train trip which zig-zagged across the planet and interlinked a whole host of super high-end services? Well, for the frivolous travellers among us, we’ve got some exciting news: it’ll be back in 2025.

That’s right – Railbookers’ ‘Around the World By Luxury Train’ will return for another unbelievable itinerary, this year featuring travel over 59 days, through 12 countries and 20 different cities (which is 21 days and one country fewer than 2024).

Seven luxury trains are included: Canada’s Rocky Mountaineer, Scotland’s Belmond Royal Scotsman, Italy’s La Dolce Vita Orient Express, Europe’s Venice Simplon-Orient Express, South Africa’s Rovos Rail, India’s Maharajas Express and Southeast Asia’s Eastern & Oriental Express. And breathe.

The trip will depart from Vancouver on September 3, 2025 and journey through the Rockies, then to Europe through Scotland and all the way down to Italy, up to Paris, across to Türkiye before jetting across to India, down to South Africa and then finally arriving in Singapore. It’s worth noting that your itinerary can be customised!

How much will all that cost you? Just a cool €116,455 (£96,925 – about £6,000 up from last year’s ticket). Travelling across the planet by luxury train obviously doesn’t come cheap, but high-end hotel stays, excursions, private tours of locations such as the Taj Mahal and cabins onboard are all included (but the five international flights, sadly, are not).
