If you’re starting to feel like 2020 is a bit of a write-off when it comes to travel, you’re not alone. The current situation means our summer holidays, adventures and trips look set to be postponed or maybe cancelled altogether.
Thanks, then, to this tulip farm in the Netherlands for reminding us that, even though things seem bleak right now, we will be able to get back to exploring our planet at some point in the future.
This year’s bloom of tulips will unfortunately go unseen by travellers, as the farm is shut to the public. So they’ve used them instead to spell out a message of hope for 2021. A heart and the words ‘see you next year’ have been written into an enormous field of technicolour flowers.
Sharing the picture on social media, Dutch Daffodils and Tulips in Holland added: ‘Many of you were planning to travel to The Netherlands to see the flower fields in bloom. Unfortunately this isn’t possible this year. And many of you won’t see the flower field in full bloom.
‘This Sunday we spend with our families in the flower field to create something special for you. We headed the tulips a bit earlier to write this message. From our families to yours! We hope that this brighten your day a bit and we hope to see you next year!’
We couldn’t agree with the sentiment more. Here’s to a healthy, happy and adventurous 2021!
