Ever since millions of us around the globe went into lockdown, our worlds have become a little smaller. We’re no longer commuting across the city for work, catching glimpses of the skyline from the top of double-decker buses or train windows, wandering along pretty streets in our lunch breaks or meeting pals in rooftop bars for post-work drinks. What we can see of the city we live in has been confined to the view we have from our windows at home.
A lot of people have been sharing their lockdown views on Instagram but this UK artist has gone one step further and is turning the views from people’s windows into works of art.

Painter Frank Law started with his own ‘isolation view’ (above) from his home in London, before doing a call out for more.
‘To keep busy and help some cash flow’ during these difficult times, Law is painting individual views as A5 watercolours. The originals cost £75 each, but, luckily for us, he’s also sharing his new creations on Instagram. So far he’s drawn ‘isolation views’ in the UK, Denmark and France.
