TikTok’s travel community (or ‘TravelTok’, as it’s called by those in-the-know) is increasingly influential in inspiring young people to get out and explore the world. And beaches are a huge part of TravelTok – after all, there are few things so visually appealing and totally glam as a spectacular beach.

But which beaches are the most popular on TikTok? Well, a study from luxury holiday company Destination2 has counted up the number of views on TikToks that included each beach as a hashtag to find out.

Top of the pile is Bondi Beach in Sydney, which has been viewed on TikTok a staggering 445.8 million times. A clear winner with more than three times the number of views of second place in the list, Bondi is renowned for its surf scene and is easily one of the world’s most iconic stretches of sand.

Next on the list is Pattaya Beach, the main three-kilometre stretch in Pattaya, Thailand, which has been viewed 128.5 million times, followed by Nha Trang Beach, a similarly lengthy and pristine bit of sand in Nha Trang, Vietnam, which boasted 64.6 million views.

Here are the top ten most popular beaches in the world on TikTok, according to Destination2’s study.

  1. Bondi Beach, Australia (445.8 million views)
  2. Pattaya Beach, Thailand (128.5 million)
  3. Nha Trang Beach, Vietnam (64.6 million)
  4. Vũng Tàu Beach, Vietnam (61.9 million)
  5. Waikiki Beach, USA (43.7 million)
  6. JBR Beach, Dubai (30.3 million)
  7. Kelingking Beach, Indonesia (30 million)
  8. Santa Monica Beach, USA (29 million)
  9. Airlie Beach, Australia (27.8 million)
  10. Whitehaven Beach, Australia (23.5 million)
