Friends: The Reunion aired on HBO Max on May 27th 2021.
Generally positively received, the show featured the original cast of Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, and Matthew Perry, meeting up at Central Perk to relive and reminisce on episodes and moments of the sitcom.
However, it wasn't just the six main members that were reuniting on screen, a host of cameos appeared across the episode. More cameos than original cast members, in fact. Maybe. There were loads.
From James Corden and Lady Gaga to Cara Delevingne. It seems everyone wanted to be part of the party. Here's what fans of the show had to say about it all.
Lady Gaga was a stand-out, as always. She appears in the show to join Phoebe for a rendition of Smelly Cat. Of course!
Some people mentioned how she looked a lot like Phoebe too.
Perhaps the most heart-warming cameo was Geller parents, Jack and Judy, who sat in the socially-distanced part of the crowd. Elliott Gould 82, and Christina Pickles 86, were sat next to each other watching the Q&A part of the show. They didn't act or feature in any of the perfomance aspects of the show, but they did tell a quick story about their time filming the show. Old couples, making everyone tear up always.
It seems that, sadly for him, former Gavin & Stacey star James Corden got the brunt of the negativity – with people wondering why of all people he should be hosting it. People were generally a bit unfair, but also some mentioned the more fair point that perhaps someone who appeared on the show could've done it. Naturally, some people wanted Paul Rudd.
Depending on where in the world people were watching, they may have missed out on some of the Cameos. The BBC and other publications have reported that BTS, Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber's appearances were censored in China.
You read right, yes Justin Bieber was there too. He was dressed as Spud-Nick. Not much more to say really, a great great vibe.
