With borders shut and travel restrictions in place across the globe since March, few of us have actally been able to go on flashy, far-flung holidays over the past year or so. In fact, we’ve mostly had to content ourselves with gazing at our feeds for inspiration – and daydreaming of a time when we’ll be able to explore the world again.
The rollout of the vaccines is providing some hope international travel may soon be back on the cards again. But in the meantime, armchair travel is very much here to stay. And so to keep us going, Airbnb has revealed the ten properties that racked up the most likes while we were all stuck indoors last year.
In at number one? The Stone Cottage, a vast property with a pool in the Gard area in the south of France. It’s got Roman follies, ample foliage and a massive pool – what more could you want?
The home with the second-most likes, meanwhile, was a coastal cabin in the Valparaíso region of Chile, and third was a lakeside cabin in Guatemala. Below you’ll find the full top ten.
