What makes a city glamorous? You might think of fancy restaurants and five-star hotels, but for cosmetics company Catrice, a ‘glamorous’ city is all about self-care, beauty and shopping.
To name Europe’s most glamorous cities, the company has just conducted some research into the number of people searching for yoga and pilates studios, the number of places to go shopping, go to a spa, attend a beauty event as well as the number of Instagram hashtags related to style in each city (all per 100,000 people).
According to their research, London tops the list. The UK capital boasts by far the highest number of salons (4,559), beauty and fashion events (4,200) and Instagram tags (5 million). Have a look at our lists of the city’s best spas, hair salons, places to get a mani, and shops, just in case you fancy a glow-up the next time you’re in town.
Zurich came in second place, and notoriously glamorous Paris came in third, but destinations in Spain, Portugal and Scotland also made the ranking. Read on for all 10 of Europe’s most glamorous cities, according to the study.
