Tropical getaways are synonymous with frosty beverages served beachside. Now the hospitality pros at Antigua resort Jumby Bay Island are taking that amenity to the next level, with a dedicated Margarita Hotline that guests can use to summon a bar on wheels – no matter where they are on the property.

The Caribbean resort is now outfitted with a beach shack bar that pours cocktails on demand, thanks to a boozy hook-up with Casamigos, the premium tequila brand famously co-founded by George Clooney. The shack’s limited-edition cocktail menu includes island-appropriate sippers like spicy cucumber-jalapeño Margaritas and Casa ginger-mint Palomas.
So far, so ‘brand activation’. But we’re genuinely pretty excited about this extra twist: no matter where you are on the private-island resort – exploring the white sand beaches, taking in the views from your room or relaxing in the spa – you can ring the dedicated Margarita Hotline and a mobile bar cart will be deployed to your location with just-mixed margs, boozy popsicles and frosty shots of tequila.
And if you’re staying in one of the resort’s villas, you can even opt to have your fridge stocked with spirits and cocktail mixers so that the margs never run dry.
Located two miles off the coast of Antigua, Jumby Bay Island reopened to travellers in November 2020. Take a look around the resort below, and imagine yourself phoning the Margarita Hotline for a boozy bevy against one of these dreamy backdrops.
