Spring is finally in bloom, and going to see some glorious floral displays is a pretty solid way to shake off the dregs of winter – but which ones are the best?
Well, Premier Inn, the British hotel chain, has done some research. By analysing the hue, brightness and saturation of unedited photos of more than 150 gardens, it has deduced their colour intensity and awarded each with a ‘vibrancy score’.
Coming in first place was Kensington Palace Garden, which boasts a vibrancy score of 254. Manicured lawns, prim flower beds and tidy paths characterise the gardens surrounding the Jacobean Palace, and much of it is accessible if you purchase a ticket, including the Sunken Garden, the Orangery and the Round Pond.

However, it’s not the only garden in the UK to make the ranks – rounding out the top three are Kew Gardens in west London and Inveraray Castle and Gardens in Scotland, which have scores of 250 and 248 respectively.
Elsewhere in the world, the Rosedal de Palermo in Argentina and Dubai Miracle Garden in the UAE made the list. Read on for all of the planet’s most colourful gardens, according to Premier Inn.
