It’s not everyday you get the chance to spend a trip staying on a literal movie set, but for all fans of eerie, psychological French cinema (or dazzling French landscapes) we’ve got some exciting news. The chalet from hit murder mystery Anatomy of a Fall is available to book on Airbnb – here’s all the info.
The multi-award-winning movie, which we reviewed last year, follows the turbulent fallout from the death of Samuel after he falls from the chalet’s balcony. While that might sound like a pretty chilling vacay spot, the location is quite stunning. Perched at an altitude of 1,400m in the village of Villarembert, the apartment – part of a renovated Mauritian farmhouse – sleeps four people and is ideal for skiers, snowboarders and hikers.
There are two bedrooms, an open-plan living area and some really great views from the terrace. The decor is definitely understated, but who needs frills and fuss when you’re in such a gorgeous setting? Here are some snaps of the place.
