An airline obviously needs to operate punctually and safely, but the in-flight food on offer can make a huge difference to your experience as well.
YouGov, a British market research company, asked 1,495 Brits who have flown on the UK’s nine most popular airlines about their experience with in-flight meals, ranking each one as either ‘very good’, ‘somewhat good’, ‘neither good nor bad’, ‘somewhat bad’ or ‘very bad’.
Have you eaten food on one of these airlines recently? Read on to find out which did the best (and the worst).
Airline with the best in-flight meals
Topping YouGov’s poll was Emirates, where 85 percent of the people surveyed described the airline’s in-flight meals as ‘good’ – that’s 38 percent with ‘very good’ and 47 percent with ‘somewhat good’ – and just five percent rated it as ‘bad’.
Qatar Airways came in second place with 40 percent of people rating it ‘very good’ and 42 percent describing it as ‘somewhat good’ for meals, and Virgin Atlantic came in third, with 24 percent and 49 percent in those respective categories. Check out all the top-ranked airlines below.
