Desperate for a trip away this summer? Well, city breaks have suddenly got a whole lot cheaper. Ryanair, that bastion of cheapness and meh customer experience, is currently selling tickets to Berlin, Budapest and Pisa for less than a tenner.

Germany and Croatia have just been added to the green list, so if you’re looking to capitalise on the new travel rules, now’s the time to book. A one-way ticket to Zagreb from London Stansted is £4.99, while a flight to Milan will only set you back £7.99.

If you live near Birmingham, there are flights available to Barcelona, Faro and Mallorca for £9.99. And if you fancy a romantic break in Venice? Get there from £4.99 from Manchester Airport – or head to Verona (the home of Romeo and Juliet) for £7.99.

From London Luton, you can get to Athens for £9.99 or Bologna for £7.99. It’s worth bearing in mind that both Greece and Italy are still on the amber list, though – so you’ll need to take a PCR test before you return and another when you get home too. Self-isolation rules are still in place for arrivals to the UK from ‘amber’ countries, although fully-vaccinated people (and those under 18) are exempt.

Make sure you book on the Ryanair website before August 11 to make the most of the deals, which are available on flights before October 31. See you down the beach, yeah?
