There’s something quite reassuring about staying at a hotel with a top-notch breakfast; about knowing that you’ve got access to some of the best food in a city without having to even step outside the building. But have you ever wondered which hotels around the world officially serve the best breakfast? Well, a new study from Mornings.co.uk might have the answer.
The study looked at the number of times the phrases ‘best breakfast’, ‘great breakfast’ and ‘excellent breakfast’ were mentioned in TripAdvisor reviews for hotels in capital cities around the world. The more mentions, the better the hotel breakfast. Seems pretty simple, right?
Mornings.co.uk’s study concluded that Park Plaza Westminster Bridge in London, which had 5,363 positive reviews, has the best hotel breakfast in the world. Second came Hotel Artemide in Rome (4,842 mentions), followed by Traders Hotel in Kuala Lumpur (4,237).
Now, obviously there are a few potentially weak points in the study. For one, what about non-English language reviews? And could breakfasts classed as ‘not great’ or ‘not the best’ have been caught up in the key phrase search? Well, we’ll never know. In any case, here are the top ten best hotel breakfasts in the world, according to Mornings.co.uk’s study.
- Park Plaza Westminster Bridge, London (5,363 mentions)
- Hotel Artemide, Rome (4,842)
- Traders Hotel, Kuala Lumpur (4,237)
- Chatrium Hotel Riverside, Bangkok (4,086)
- Shangri-La, Bangkok (3,695)
- Premier Inn London County Hall Hotel, London (3,682)
- Hotel Palazzo Zichy, Budapest (3,679)
- The Tower Hotel, London (3,575)
- Sandals Royal Bahamian, Nassau (3,545)
- Shangri-La, Kuala Lumpur (3,471)
