By analysing shifts in Google searches from the last three months of 2023, and comparing them to the last three months of 2022, luggage storage company Bounce has come up with a new ranking of the European cities seeing the biggest surge in popularity.
At number one, with a staggering 310.3 percent increase in searches, was Krakow. The Polish city is a culture-dense destination renowned for its affordability – check out our pick of Krakow’s best things to do here.
In second place it was Seville, with an increase of 58.7 percent. The city is the home of flamenco and one of Spain’s most popular city breaks, but local authorities are making efforts to manage tourist numbers, such as by adding an entry fee to this popular attraction.
In third, it’s the merry Irish capital of Dublin, for which searches increased by 38.1 percent. With all those glorious pubs and nightlife spots, it’s no wonder everyone’s after some good craic.
