Attention, foodies: the winners of the World Culinary Awards 2022 have just been announced, thereby providing tons of inspo for your next year of eating and drinking!
Taking the prize of ‘World’s Best Restaurant’ this year was Mayta, a Michelin-starred estab in the Peruvian capital of Lima. Known for its tasting menus that offer contemporary takes on traditional Peruvian cuisine, Mayta is also impressively sustainable. Naturally, Mayta also took the title of ‘Latin America’s Best Restaurant’.
But what were the other top restaurants at this year’s WCAs? Well, handily the awards give out prizes for the best restaurants on each continent. Here are the results.
Africa: La Colombe, Cape Town (South Africa)
Asia: Anan, Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam)
Caribbean: Fish by José Andrés, Atlantis Paradise Island (Bahamas)
Europe: Uliassi, Senigallia (Italy)

Latin America: Mayta, Lima (Peru)

North America: Atelier Crenn, San Francisco (USA)
Oceania: Attica, Melbourne (Australia)
