World-famous poetry, literature and music has all been written over the decades about New York – it’s just got something special about it, right?
But we’d argue that one of the best things this sprawling city has to offer is its food. Whether you’re grabbing a cheap bite in Lower Manhattan or tucking into the finest of fine dining on the Upper East Side, there’s something on the menu for everyone.
That’s why Time Out Market has opted to open a second location in the city, after the success of their flagship space in Brooklyn, which has been rustling up some of the city’s best dishes since 2019.
The new spot will be on the ground floor of Zero Irving in Union Square, a 929-square-metre site with space for 300 seats (70 of these on a gorgeous alfresco terrace), seven kitchens, a bar and a stage.
As always, the aim is to compile a collection of kitchens that will showcase the very best of New York’s food and restaurant scene, so New Yorkers and visitors alike can sample as much of the city as possible. There’ll also be a dedicated space for local musicians and performers – all in all, it’s set to become a go-to for experiencing the best of the Big Apple, all in one space.
It’s slated to open this autumn – keep an eye on this page for official opening dates and more information.
Time Out Market New York, Union Square joins an ever-growing list of Time Out Markets across the globe, with Budapest, Porto and Barcelona being the most recent additions. You can read more about each and every one on the Time Out Market website.
