Secret Cinema is entering the MCU with a Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2-themed experiential event this summer

Running from August to December at an undisclosed London location, it’s the first of a planned three Disney Studios-themed immersive collabs for Secret Cinema.

Budding Star-Lords, Draxs, Gamoras, Groots and Rockets should expect a trip to the Ravager planet of Contraxia, complete with its Soho-in-the-’70s array of hedonistic pleasures, as well as Nova Corps’ less indulgent Kyln Prison. Both should be entirely lawless and a tonne of sci-fi-themed fun.

Fittingly, considering the maverick space cowboys that are the Guardians, there’s a deviation from the established formula with this one. On offer are two different types of tickets: one for the immersive experience alone; the other offering a ‘participatory experience’ with a screening of the film.

If strapping on a Star-Lord face mask and a Sony Walkman and jumping right in sounds like your thing, it’ll be the latter obvs.

‘Guests will be transported to the far reaches of the galaxy and experience an evening like no other as they interact with characters in a storyline unique to them against a backdrop of sensational special effects,’ says Secret Cinema CEO Max Alexander.Whether they want to lead their Clan to resounding victory over their scavenger foes, or just revel in the pleasures to be found on Contraxia, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.’

Tickets go on general sale at 10am on March 14 at the official website. If you’re an O2 priority customer, presale tickets are available from 10am on March 9. They start at £47, while premium ticket prices start at £98.
