Now more than ever, street artists have plenty to tag about – and with the world pretty much shut down, they have plenty more space to do it too. Whether or not lockdown restrictions have made their works more difficult to pull off, the streets are as barren as they’re ever going to be – and from Copenhagen to Rio de Janeiro via San Francisco, artists are out there putting a punchy (and very often political) spin on the fast-emerging new world order.

Of course, we shouldn’t really be scouring the streets IRL, so we’ve picked out some of the best street art that’s cropped up around the globe in recent weeks. By the time this is all over, we reckon our streets will be looking a lot more colourful.
