These days, it seems like just about every celebrity has a ghost kitchen, liquor label or cookie brand. Heck, why not all three? But here's one that caught our attention this week: Rapper Eminem is opening a restaurant called Mom's Spaghetti in Detroit tomorrow. The name is a hilarious nod to the intro of Eminem's 2002 megahit 'Lose Yourself.' You remember the one: 'His palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy. There's vomit on his sweater already, mom's spaghetti.'

Alright, so maybe it's not the most appetizing reference for a restaurant name – but what did you expect from the infamously explicit lyricist? The concept got its start as a pop-up restaurant back in 2017 and was recently revived as a charitable cause that passed out free pasta meals to healthcare workers in 2020. Now, thanks to Detroit-based Union Joints restaurant group, the eatery will go brick-and-mortar.

Eminem's people have confirmed that he's very much involved and on board with the noodle concept – and he even took to Twitter to share the news. Yes, this commercial is real – and yes, it really is running on local stations in Detroit.

Opening on Wednesday, September 29, Mom's Spaghetti will operate out of Union Assembly restaurant in downtown Detroit at 2131 Woodward Ave. According to local reporting from The Detroit News, the 'small bodega space' will have a walk-up window accessible to diners via an alley. After you've polished off your meal – and hopefully kept it down – you can shop The Trailer, a store with limited-edition Slim Shady merch and memorabilia.

The menu at Mom's Spaghetti is short and sweet, with just three food items, water and soda. Guests can choose from the eponymous Mom's Spaghetti (with or without meatballs) or spring for the 'Sghetti Sandwich, which crams a tangle of saucy noodles between two slices of bread.

Look, are you going to capture this opportunity or just let it slip? (Sorry, we couldn't help ourselves.)
