There’s no shortage of super cool winter getaways this year, from a stay in Santa's post office to a visit to some dazzling Christmas lights, but this one has gotta be the coolest of them all – literally.

The original Icehotel is back in its 34th reincarnation in Jukkasjärvi, Swedish Lapland, and it opened last week.

This dazzling hotel consists of 15 unique suites, a ceremony hall, and main hall, which were all designed by 32 artists, and put together by Icehotel’s building and ice production team. Theres also a cinema, chalets, three restaurants and of course, an Icebar. What Icehotel would be complete without one, anyway?

The inspo this year is fairy tales, nature and cultural tradition. British duo Lisa Lindqvist and Kate Munro’s design ‘Light Collectors’ celebrates winter solstice pagan costumes, but there’s also icy artwork of desert landscapes, fairies, trolls, as well as the goddess of chocolate and a cacao ceremony.

Fancy a chilly stay in a -5 degree suite? Discover the World is offering three-night breaks from £733 (€845, $927) per person. Okay, it’s hardly budget, but being one of the lucky few to witness this version of the Icehotel in its glistening form? You can’t really put a price on that (and don’t worry, there are some warmer room options too).

Dont wait too long, though. The hotel is made entirely of snow and ice from the Torne River, but itll all have melted back by the spring. Here are some snaps of it in all its frozen glory.
