Whether you're looking to hang out with the crew from P.S. 118, or if you're craving a bite from Good Burger, Nickelodeon movies are guaranteed to make kids (and adults) excited for a night on the couch.

The company has entertained children for generations, and there's no way anyone would pass up the opportunity to spend two hours with their favorite characters and indulge in the inevitable shenanigans. (C'mon, you know Tommy is going to have a few ideas in mind, despite Chuckie's resistance.) From fan-favorites like Snow Day or the big screen adaptation of Bikini Bottom in SpongeBob's new film, the best Nickelodeon movies are as awesome as its slime is gross.

Speaking of slime, don't forget to put some on your dinner before the movie night begins! (Nope, we're not kidding: Edible slime is a thing, folks.)

After you're done watching Nick flicks, check out the best free summer movies in NYC, go for a screening of one of the best kids' movies of 2018 and enjoy the best new Disney movies with your Anna and Elsa fans.

Best Nickelodeon movies

1. Good Burger

"Welcome to Good Burger, home of the good burger, can I take your order?" Kennan and Kel, the All That! comedic duo, tackle their famous sketch in a full-length flick where they can't seem to do anything quite right. Picture this as your favorite SNL skit turned into a big-screen release, and that's what '90s kids will say about Good Burger

2. The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie

Follow along on the underwater adventure as SpongeBob and Patrick attempt to thwart Plankton’s scheme to steal King Neptune’s crown and save Mr. Krabs from being framed for the crime. Never a dull moment in Bikini Bottom.

3. The Rugrats Movie

The cutest toddlers on TV make their great escape to return Tommy’s new baby brother, Dil, back to the hospital. But when they crash their toy wagon in the woods and realize they are hopelessly lost, they must stick together to survive and find their way back home. Can Angelica, whose most prized doll Cynthia was taken by the babies, and doggy Spike, find the little rugrats on their own?

4. Hotel for Dogs

Siblings Andi and Bruce are forced to part ways with their pup Friday upon finding a foster home that has a no-pet policy. Bruce's ingenious idea to turn an abandoned hotel into a stay for Friday—and many of his furry friends—turns out great...until neighbors start catching on.

5. Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius

Little Jimmy Neutron is set on making contact with an alien species, but when they do, the evil Yolkians kidnap all the parents in the city and fly them to their planet. Jimmy eventually discovers the plot and rounds up all the kids to rescue the adults. Unfortunately, the children discover that the idea was hatched after the Yolkians discovered one of Jimmy’s satellite messages inviting the space creatures to Earth and now it’s up to Jimmy to rescue them from this whole mess.

6. Charlotte’s Web

The sweet film turns out to be a total tearjerker at the end after prized piggy Wilbur is rescued from the market and later befriends an intelligent and very literate spider, Charlotte. Together, they hatch a plan to save Wilbur from ever being slaughtered and strike up one of the strongest animated animal friendships we know.

7. Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events

This story, based on the popular book series, focuses on the three Baudelaire orphans who are constantly pursued by their conniving relative Count Olaf. He's only interested in taking their inheritance, and the children manage to escape his grasps time after time, but Count Olaf keeps finding new ways to get his evil claws closer and closer to the children.

8. The Wild Thornberrys Movie

Eliza Thornberry is pretty awesome (though her older sis Debby might be to differ). The 12-year-old has the ability to speak to animals, which is perfectly fitting, considering she and her family travel the world exploring different species. But there's a catch: If she lets anyone in on the secret, she has the possibility of losing her powers for good. What will happen when she must protect an elphant herd while in Africa?

9. Hey Arnold!: The Movie

In this cartoon-turned-movie, we leave the comfort of our stoops (see what we did there?) to journey alongside football head do-gooder, Arnold, who is trying to save his neighborhood from becoming a mall. We couldn't let the fate of the boarding house be up to a crook named Scheck, right?!

10. Harriet the Spy

Based on the popular children’s novel of the same of name, the film follows the mischievous 11-year-old Harriet, who keeps tabs on everyone around her and writes notes about them in her notebook. Her world gets turned upside down when her arch nemesis finds her book and loudly reveals all the secrets she’s kept inside. Harriet is cast aside by both friends and foes and must learn how to apologize while seeking revenge for the torment she endures from her classmates.

11. Snow Day

It’s every kid's dream come true—a sudden snow day and full day off from school! But what if a snow day could turn into snow days instead? Buddies Natalie, Wayne and Chet hatch a plan to take over their neighborhood snow plow and keep their school closed while her dad struggles against a TV meteorologist rival and her older brother vies for the affection of a high school classmate.

12. Rags

In this twist on the Cinderella, Charlie Prince is the one living with an evil step-father and step-brothers. On the other hand, singer extraordinaire Kadee Worth is living the life...or so it seems. When the two cross paths, they’re pushed to break through insecurities and go for what they truly want.

13. Hey Arnold: The Jungle Movie

'90s babies weren't done with the P.S. 118 group quite yet. Thanks to this 2017 flick, fans young and old were able to journey alongside Arnold and his pals while they search for his parents—whom we never see throughout the series—in the fictional town of San Lorenzo. Will they be able to find them, despite the danger that awaits?
