Even after the first two instalments hit lows for dumb-as-dirt artlessness, there’s always a bottom beneath the bottom (or in this case, a bottom surgically sewn to a mouth).
Dutch writer-director Tom Six relocates his gimmicky horror show to a cost-cutting, broadly caricatured Texas prison run by a fascist warden, allowing leading man Dieter Laser to overindulge in shouty, tiresome tantrums. Meanwhile, the one female character is played by a porn star. Visually yellowish and depressingly obvious, this final chapter even skimps on the small hint of class warfare that Six previously supplied like a shake of salt on a dung heap.
