Snake Eyes

When he's in the mood no one digs deeper into the emotional gut than Abel Ferrara - like Bad Lieutenant, this is a gruelling experience. Many will find it alienating. Keitel is a director (his wife is Nancy Ferrara) making a movie about a couple breaking up - Madonna and Russo are the stars. There's inevitable confusion between reality and illusion, but the real subject here is the battle (or rather massacre) of the sexes.
