Christine Blanc (Andres) is an office temp caught in an existential free fall.
After an abrupt act of violence, Christine's luck mysteriously begins to
change—or does it? Director Siegrid Alnoy prefers to keep things opaque, and
displays a formal perfection in lensing imagery of dead urban architecture that
recalls Antonioni's heyday. But her increasingly surreal flourishes eventually
give diminishing returns. It's an impressive debut, but by the question-mark
climax, one can only guess the message behind the film's modernist madness.
