A remake of a Tamil hit movie Polladhavan (directed by Vetrimaaran), Mahesh Maddumaarachchi’s Pravegaya comes to the theatre as an action packed movie with love and laughter. Starring Hemal Ranasinghe and Udari Ranasinghe as the main roles, the cast also includes many leading Sri Lankan actors and actresses. The movie was shot in iconic locations like Nuwara Eliya, Colombo and Galle. The never disappointing combination of music by Bhathiya and Santhush keeps the movie pumping, and Pravegaya’s romance, action and comedy perfectly complement each other, making it more compelling. Woven around a young happy man, the hero, who is from a middle class family, the story highlights his love life and how life takes a twist when a gang of drug dealers and gangsters steals his bike.
