Time Out says

This admirable attempt to push the bolly-envelope is a taunt terrorist thriller set largely in the NRI (‘Non Resident Indian’) community of post-9/11 New York. Naïve Hindu wife Avantika (Kapoor) realises that her Muslim husband Ehsaan (Khan) is part of a terrorist group intent on bombing the NY subway. Can she foil the plot? The film is largely successful, inter alia, in addressing the issue of whether the strict adherence to Islam can be equated to fundamentalism. The ultimate ‘love can change a terrorist’ message is simplistic and the justification for Ehsaan’s behaviour is unimaginative. However, this has to be applauded for exploring a topical and sensitive subject in the widest commercial context. Interesting, entertaining and solidly executed.
