One of the most impressive found-footage essays of recent years, this disquieting reflection on contemporary history (as seen through the lens of international sky-jackings) is a kaleidoscope of information films, archive news, reappropriated animated idents and talking heads directly involved in some of the more provocative post-war international 'incidents'. Enriched by chisseled voice-over insights from the fiction of Don DeLillo, the project takes the overload of signs and images in today's media and builds a multipolar picture of a world prone at any moment to destabilisation via the technology that has given it such reach. The result is a montage of fragments both telling and open, in which, among all the visual 'noise', a powerful central focus and contemplation prevails.
