Cryptic

'Juno' meets 'The Twilight Zone' in this low-budget suburban thriller, which intrigues but fails to really shock. Kuchuck and Weiner’s smooth production values are undermined by a hit-and-miss cast, a distinctly casual script and an ill thought out, rather blunt ending. Julie Carlson puts in a strong performance as the troubled heroine Jessie Graver, but later nods to Donnie Darko only serve to show up this film in an unfavourable light. Who’d have thought that a movie with four time-travel twists could be so predictable?
