The widescreen landscapes of Cumbria play host to a touching family drama that’s a family affair in its own right. Northern Irish stalwart Ciarán Hinds (Game of Thrones) and his daughter Aoife Hinds co-star in a story that has Tokyo widower Kenzaburo (Shoplifters’ Lily Franky) and his son travelling to Lake Windermere to scatter the ashes of Kenzaburo’s wife in a beloved childhood spot. An emotional slice of slow cinema, it’s one for anyone who got a kick out of Drive My Car or Perfect Days.
