Twelve-year-old Pelle is bitten by a radioactive ant and discovers he has supernatural powers. This Danish superhero flick follows our hero (who can pee acid, among other newfound abilities) as he battles arch-villain The Flea and tries to rescue a pretty blonde with the help of his nerdy friend Wilhelm. From the trailer we’re getting a mix of the superhero-debunking, tongue-in-cheek feel of ‘Kick-Ass’ combined with stylish Scandinavian direction, all pine-forests and picturesque autumn leaves. At one point, The Flea (played by Nicolas Bro from ‘War Horse’) gets to use the witty insult ‘pissant’. Not to be confused with Marvel comic ‘Ant-Man’, the film is based on Kenneth Bøgh Andersen’s children’s books.
