As one of the region’s most iconic female artists, the late Anita Mui – aka 'Madonna of the East' – is an award-winning Hong Kong singer and actress who has changed the Cantopop music scene forever. Starring Louise Wong as the titular singer, the film gives fans a glimpse into her lesser-known personal life, from her childhood days as a performer, her friendships and romantic relationships, right up to her very last moments before she passed away from cervical cancer in 2003.
